In her Guest Column article, found here, Claire Louder describes the contributions that the Maryland Live! Casino has made to Anne Arundel County, and the county's opportunity to now support the Cordish Company's plan to build a hotel and conference center near the site of Maryland Live!  The new facility would provide accomodations for high school graduations, proms and science fairs, at no cost to the county. It would also provide adequate space for police, fire and health departments, as well as other county agencies, to meet at no cost.  The project would result in new jobs and tax revenue for Anne Arundel County.  The project needs the support of the county for needed infrastructure to support the facility.  She discusses the financing process for the county.  For the entire article, see the Capital Gazette here.
