The sailing capital of Annapolis, Maryland, with its historic charm, is only 15 miles south. The U.S. Naval Academy, located in Annapolis, is a popular destination for visitors – you can access The Yard on foot by showing your I.D. card, or sign up for a guided tour in the Armel-Leftwich Visitor’s Center.
Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is 17 miles north, home to the Maryland Science Center, National Aquarium, Fort McHenry, and Baltimore Maritime Museum as well as plenty of excellent shopping and dining.

Are you a history buff? The Gettysburg National Military Park is only 1-1/2 hours away, and Harper’s Ferry is about the same – both an easy daytrip from West Anne Arundel County.
