Biography of Claire Louder:
Claire Louder is the President and CEO of the West Anne Arundel County Chamber
of Commerce in Odenton, Maryland, just outside the gates of Fort Meade, an area
that has benefitted from the addition of 5,800 BRAC jobs and 16,200 other jobs at
Ft. Meade between 2007 and 2012, and is still growing. She began her career as a
Chamber executive in 1989 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where she ran the Jackson
County Chamber of Commerce (700 members), and over the last twenty years has held
a variety of association and non-profit leadership positions at the local and state
level, including Associated Builders and Contractors in Texas. She is a graduate
of the University of Virginia and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She serves
on the Maryland Chamber’s Legislative Committee, the Anne Arundel County BRAC Task
Force, the BRAC Regional Transportation Committee, the Odenton Town Plan Oversight
Committee, the Anne Arundel Community College STEM Advisory Board, and is the immediate
Past President of the Maryland Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She
is also the founder, Past President, and current Vice President of the UVaClub of
Annapolis, a 2010 graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel’s ELS Program, and
a member of the Rotary Club of West Anne Arundel County.
Biography of Jeffrey S. Armiger, Chairman of the Board:
Jeff Armiger is a 34-year veteran of community banking and has been involved
in Commercial Business Development his entire career. He is currently a Senior
Vice President and Area Executive for the North Anne Arundel City of the Chesapeake
Region for BB&T. During the ‘80s Jeff was the head of Business Development in Anne Arundel
County for a major regional bank, and in the ‘90s he was a Senior Vice President
of Commercial Lending for a small community bank in Annapolis, until joining what
is now BB&T in 1998. He has been a producing sales manager for over 25 years, and
has developed over 55 commercial bankers, including 9 graduates of the BB&T Management
Development Program.He is a graduate of UMBC, University of Baltimore and Johns
Hopkins University, and holds degrees in English, Business/Marketing, and Real Estate,
as well as a variety of degrees and diplomas from banking schools. He is one
of very few bankers in Maryland who holds the “Certified Lender-Business Banking”
designation from the American Banker’s Association. In addition to the Chairing
the West County Chamber, Jeff is the Treasurer/ Finance Committee Chair of Chartwell
Country Club, Secretary /Board Member of UMBC Research Park Corporation, and serves
on the Boards of the Chesapeake Rivers Association, Anne Arundel Economic Development
Corp., and the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He is a 1996 graduate of Leadership
Anne Arundel and has been a member of the Parole /Annapolis Rotary Club since 1988.
