Biography of Claire Louder, MPP, IOM, CAE:
Claire Louder is the President and CEO of the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce in Odenton, Maryland, just outside the gates of Fort Meade, an area that has benefitted from the addition of 5,800 BRAC jobs and 16,200 other jobs at Ft. Meade between 2007 and 2012, and is still growing. She began her career as a Chamber executive in 1989 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where she ran the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (700 members), and over the last twenty years has held a variety of association and non-profit leadership positions at the local and state level, including Associated Builders and Contractors in Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and earned her Certified Association Executive credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in February, 2014. She serves on the Maryland Chamber’s Legislative Committee, the Anne Arundel County BRAC Task Force, the BRAC Regional Transportation Committee, the Anne Arundel Community College STEM Advisory Board, until recently on the Odenton Town Plan Oversight Committee, and is a Past President of the Maryland Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She She is also the founder and Past President of the UVaClub of Annapolis, a 2010 graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel’s ELS Program, and a member of the Rotary Club of West Anne Arundel County.
Biography of David Hillery, Chairman of the Board:
Mr. Hillery earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction and honors from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business in 1976. He received his MBA from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business and his JD cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. A tax consultant with over thirty years of experience, he has dealt with many issues involving emerging businesses, personal and estate planning, pass-through entities, tax-exempt organizations, the use of trusts and charitable gift planning. An active member of the business and and civic community in Annapolis for over twenty five years, he is a member of many community organizations and is a Past President of the Parole Rotary Club in Annapolis as well as a two term past Treasurer of District 7620 of Rotary International. Dave has been a long standing member of the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation’s Charitable Gift Planning Advisory Committee and a current Trustee of Books for International Goodwill, Inc. Mr. Hillery is currently a member of the Tax Section as well as the Real Property, Trust and Estate Sections of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Tax Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is the 2012 Second Vice President of the West Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce and the 2012-2013 Vice Chairman of the MD CPA Committee on Political Action.
