For Job Seekers
With so much growth in our region, there are a wide range of employment opportunities
available to skilled workers. A number of agencies are available to help you sort
through the possibilities and, if necessary, connect you to training to expand your
skills.
Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation
, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Labor,
Licensing and Regulation (DLLR), provides workforce and training services to Anne
Arundel County citizens and businesses. AAWDC operates six One-Stop Career Centers
throughout Anne Arundel County that offer job seeker services including:

assistance, Federal, state and local job listings, access to online job listings,
prescreening, pre-employment skills assessment, and job searches in the Maryland
Workforce Exchange.

Anne Arundel Community College, hosts at least seven large job fairs each year.
Smaller recruitment events are held throughout the year in the One-Stop Career
Centers. In partnership with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, AAWDC facilitates
job fairs at each of the County’s public high schools in the spring to connect
businesses and summer job seekers.

in a church usually begin with a prayer. Most groups have e-mailing lists that
share useful and timely information for job seekers in between meeting times.

downsizing include orientation to One-Stop services, career development workshops,
individual career coaching and career assessment, job search seminars, resume
preparation and retraining programs.
