Western Anne Arundel County is home to a variety of recreational sports leagues
for both children and adults. These leagues not only offer sports instruction, but
an opportunity for fun, teamwork, and physical fitness. Youth leagues also provide

YOUTH
Arden Recreation
Arden Recreation provides organized youth sports programs to residents of Crownsville
and surrounding areas. Programs include Tball, Coach Pitch, Lacrosse, Soccer, and
Basketball.
Arundel Soccer Association
ASA offers soccer programs in the Odenton area year-round for ages 4 through adult.
All skill levels are welcome.
Crofton Athletic Council
The Crofton Athletic Council serves the youth of the Greater Cofton community by
offering kids instructional programs, intramural sports, county sports, and related
activities in a wide variety of sports.
GORC
The Gambrills-Odenton Recreation Council offers youth sports to children in Gambrills,
Odenton, and the surrounding areas. Girls’ programs include basketball, cheerleading,
field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Boys’ programs feature
baseball, basketball, football, flag football, lacrosse, soccer, and wrestling.
JPYO
The Jessup Provinces Youth Organization provides instructional and competitive sports
for boys and girls in the Jessup area ages 4-17 in baseball, soccer, basketball,
and softball.
LFYAA
The Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association has offered youth in the BWI area
the chance to play baseball, softball, basketball, & soccer for over 30 years.
Maryland City League
The Maryland City Mustangs are a youth league in the Laurel area offering programs
for children of all ages. Sports include basketball, baseball, cheerleading, soccer,

The Maryland Academy of Youth Sports promotes sportsmanship and fair play for young

Meade Youth Basketball Association
The Meade Youth Basketball Association supports organized youth basketball for students
14 and under in the Fort George G. Meade area. Leadership and good sportsmanship

Mid-Atlantic LAX
Mid-Atlantic Lax hosts one of the most competitive indoor lacrosse leagues for high
school girls in the county. The facility is located in Jessup. For more information,

Millersville Sports Association
The Millersville Sports Association offers soccer programs for youth in the Millersville

The Old Mill Youth Association runs youth sports leagues for children in the Millersville

Department of Recreation and Parks
Adults who are interested in participating in a sports league should contact the

Maryland SportsPlex
