Lynn Nichols, Keller Williams Flagship of MD, Chairman

Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. at the Chamber office

The West County Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee (MAC) was established in 2008 to better connect the civilian and military personnel serving at Fort Meade, and their families, with the local community. It is made up of area businesses, individuals, and organizations that value the contributions made by military personnel and their families to our nation and region.

All MAC members must first have a membership in the West County Chamber. MAC members contribute an additional $100 beyond their Chamber membership investment to support MAC activities on Fort Meade. Committee goals include:

  • Providing the service members and families of Fort Meade with information about local resources
  • Showing support for our military personnel’s service through events targeted at both specific groups and the community at large
  • Expression of patriotic support through signage and other means

Here are a few of the events the Military Affairs Committee has participated in:

  • Construction of the Burba Lake “KaBOOM!” Playground
  • Sponsored a ride and set up information tables with games at Military Child Fun Fair
  • Served food to service members at Armed Forces Day Field Day
  • Sponsored a ride at National Night Out and provided community information
  • Provided community information at Fort Meade Newcomer’s and Community Fair
  • Sponsored a free tailgate party for service members and their families before the Annual Army-Navy Flag Football game

In addition to helping us support the service members and families of Fort Meade, your annual contribution entitles you to:

  • Window sign with the MAC logo
  • Red, white and blue ribbon to wear at Chamber events identifying you as a MAC member
  • Listing in Military Affairs Committee brochure
  • First option to participate in MAC events at Fort Meade*

Your contribution to the West County Chamber Foundation/Military Affairs Fund is tax deductible as a 501(c)(3) charitable donation. For more information or to become a member, call the Chamber office at 410-672-3422, or email admin@westcountychamber.org.
