Connecting people and businesses is a key role of the West County Chamber, whether
on the individual level such as referring someone looking for a service to the right
source, or on a more global level through our networking events.
- Our Military Affairs Committee was specifically developed
to create increased interaction between our business community and Ft. Meade
personnel and their families through events such as the Family Fun Fair, Newcomer's
Fair, and Chamber tailgate at the Ft. Meade Army-Navy Flag Football Game.
- The Chamber's Education Committee worked with Meade High School to launch
their Homeland Security Signature Program, and is now helping Arundel High School
with their Community Development and Global Citizenship program - both ways
to connect our business community with their future workforce.
- Chamber-sponsored community events like Odenton Day, the Gambrills Fun Fair,
and the Back to School Fair offer local businesses the chance to connect with
potential customers.
- Networking events like our monthly mixers at The Greene Turtle, Multi-Chamber
Power Networking Breakfasts, and Tuesday Topics connect you to potential business
opportunities by helping you meet like-minded business people.
